It is one thing reading about Turbines and quite another having Fred explain, in person, about these great beasts!They were amazing machines and Fred had slides and models of many of the different types. He even had one with sound hooked up to a DCC track. It has the diesel engine sounds and then you can hear the turbine spin up. It is really loud.
